JOB SUMMARY :

Under minimal supervision, maintain both the safety and functionality of the building and surrounding grounds.

Perform mechanical and electrical repairs.

Perform routine maintenance and sanitation.

Work closely with the safety coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform DAILY/WEEKLY/BIWEEKLY/MONTHLY building/equipment maintenance tasks based on schedule provided
• Maintain grounds regularly; informing management of any structural or environmental issues
• Perform routine safety and environmental preventative maintenance required
• Perform repairs of facility equipment and fixtures, notifying management of equipment that must be serviced by an outside company
• Painting departments, equipment, facilities, and offices upon request
• Replacing filters throughout the facility, climbing ladders both indoors and outdoors
• Operate powered industrial equipment; scissor lifts/forklifts
• Assemble and disassemble equipment accurately
• Work with members of production, purchasing, and management regularly
• Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
• Some of the required maintenance must be performed off hours or on weekends
• Other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school or GED equivalent
• At least 3 years of related experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams/blueprints
• Work well independently and within a team
• Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands
• Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as aptitude for basic math.
• Problem solving ability

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Dexterity: Requires working with their hands, whether directly manipulating components or using hand and power tools.
• Strength: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required without physical restrictions.
• Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods of time.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

This is full-time status (40 hrs.) position and will be expected to work Monday through Friday during business hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional mandatory overtime.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
